I had the opportunity to eat at White Lightning last night, which was my first experience. From the moment our party arrived we were greeted with courtesy and smiles. We had to wait in the bar, since we had not made reservations, but it was a short wait. The manager came there to check on us and update us on the table wait. Once seated, our waitress was extremely interactive, kind and fun. She checked on us often, and never rushed us to make selections. We were there approximately 3 hours, laughing and talking, with repetitive trips by the table from our waitress, manager and 2 other staff members that I am uncertain what their role was. Everyone was welcoming, professional, courteous and accommodating. I hate that I have waited so long to try this spot out, but I will be returning often. GREAT EXPERIENCE !!!
My husband and I came here for date night. Once again amazing food. He had the Filet Mignon cooked medium. It was cooked perfect! I had the Redfish. The most amazing red fish I have had yet. The service was so wonderful too.
White Lightnin’ • Casual, sophisticated bites in Tuston, LA. Very impressed with the menu here. Service was great, fast, and helpful picking from the menu. Inside gave me a south Louisiana vibe with live music playing while we were there. I recommend the Pimento app and the herbed tuna. LARGE cocktail menu has something to suit anyone’s taste. I am@not up here often but I will definitely come back for round 2!
Our first experience and definitely top of our list now. All the drinks we tried were fantastic. The last paradise is definitely my new fave. Lindsey, our server, was prompt and attentive. The atmosphere was very chilled and laid back. Food. 10/10. Redfish and the bbq shrimp and grits. We will be back. Might be this week lol. So worth every penny.
I visited for the first time last night for dinner. I was immediately greeted by the bartender Chloe, she was very friendly and had great suggestions for drinks and food. The drinks were amazing! They make all their own mixers and everything was fresh. I ordered the blackened Red Fish and it did not disappoint, flavor was excellent. I can't wait to get back and try some of the other dishes on the menu. If you are in Ruston you have to give them a try you will not regret it!
I don't leave reviews unless I believe the food/service is phenomenal or horrible, and this establishment is amazing. My bartenders we're Nick and Cody and they are incredibly well versed bartenders. They can make you any drink you want from any era in time. I had their lightning burger with truffle fries and blackened fish which was some of the best food I've had. Whether you're passing through or live in the area I would highly recommend visiting white lightning.
First of all, the cocktails are top notch! The food is delicious and the portions are good. I always get something different because it is all wonderful. I tried their tiramisu bread pudding last night, and 10/10. *chef's kiss* PS. order a specialty cocktail they perfection in a glass.
What a delightful surprise to find such a sophisticated menu in Ruston! Extensive cocktail menu, with old favorites and imaginative new ones. I can recommend the French 75 The redfish meuniere was perfect, and my friend’s shrimp and grits was excellent. Pimiento and cheese has been done to death, but try theirs—you’ll be glad you did. We went at peak time on a Friday night, so drink initial drink service was a bit slow, but everything flowed smoothly after that. If you’re lucky, Trish will take care of you!
